GB MEETING OF AIBSNLREA, ODISHA STATE BRANCH HELD:

A General Body of Odisha State Branch of AIBSNLREA was held in the Seminar Hall of G.M. TD, Bhubaneswar office on 08.10.2022 which started with the welcome address by Shri Bibhu Prasad Mishra, Organising Secretary. It was followed by a two minutes silence to pay homage to our departed member Shri Bhajendra Kumar Mohanty. After introduction of total 31 participants, State Secretary Shri Pravat Kar gave the update of Pension revision initiatives taken by the Association and also the current initiatives taken for medical bill arrear payments. Shri B.K.Mallick, CWC member informed about CHQ's approach on Pension revision which is as per the Law laid down by Supreme Court and the Rules followed by DoP&PW that allows pension revision following Wage revision not only to the CG Employees but also to the State Government Employees. Pension Revision Rules are the same for all and these cannot be bent to benefit only a particular group of pensioners. President too corroborated the same and also informed the House on the other beneficial initiatives taken at CHQ level. The House was then dissolved by the President and Shri Hemendra Nath Das was nominated to act as the Returning Officer to elect a new State Body. But the House resolved for the continuation of the complete old body without any change for another term of three years. The house nominated the following delegates for AIC, Kolkata to be held from 7th to 8th January 2023. S/Shri Sanatan Das, State President, Pravat Kumar Kar, State Secretary, Nakula Mohapatra, State Finance Secretary, Bibhu Pd. Mishra, State Organising Secretary, Dayanidhi Sahoo, Member and V.Raman, Member. Shri Sanatan Das, State President, then made Shri Ladubaba Das, Member to understand the intricacies involved in Notional increment issue and also wait for medical bill settlement cases, especially in GMTD Bhubaneswar office, as being pursued by State Secretary. Two new members joined the Association during the meeting. All members expressed their willingness to join a Picnic Party to be held on 08.02.2023 at Deras, near Bhubaneswar. 20.02.2020:

GB MEETING OF ODISHA STATE BRANCH HELD:

A GB meeting of Odisha State Branch was held on 12.02.2020 in Jayadev Batika premises, Bhubaneswar, in which 31 members were present. The number includes eight new members including the VRS retirees. Shri Sanatan Das, President in his address welcomed the new entrants and appraised them about AIBSNLREA since its formal launch in 2008 as the first Pensioners' Association of BSNL Executives, subsequent registration in 2014 and the present day set up. Odisha has the honour of being the first AIC venue in 2016. It was explained to the members, how and why the approach the Association is quite different from other associations in tackling the issues of common interest like Pension Revision as per 3rd PRC in contrast to the others views of linking it with 7th CPC. CHQ’s sustained efforts recently brought result in issue of order for provision of Mobile connection to BSNL retirees residing in TNF areas which received appreciation of all. The case of Com. B.Swain was solved only because of involvement of CHQ. It was emphasized that the actions of GS had been in accordance with the existing rules and provisions of the BSNL and Government, as such the communications could be made to the appropriate authorities which get due acknowledgement. Since to put forth our grievances, we need a strong platform, the Association can be strengthened with large number of executive retirees' joining as life members. Presidential address included the discussion of points of last GB meeting and general satisfaction was seen in switching to CGHS. Later Shri P.K.Kar, Secretary highlighted the efforts of the Association in pursuing the cases of reimbursement of one time subscription paid to CGHS authorities. Issue of an empanelled hospital refusing cashless treatment was discussed and it was assured to meet the Addl. Director, CGHS on specific complaints. He thanked General Secretary for his efforts in solving long pending case of Shri Ban amber Swain. It was informed that another case of Shri K.C.Khatua, on similar grounds, deserve CHQ level assistance. Request was made to invite more VRS Executive retiree to the Association as some have taken Membership forms to join later along with other colleagues. Vote of thanks was proposed by Shri Radha Shyam Patra, the senior-most member present in the meeting. A Picnic feast followed after the meeting with participation of family members.  View Photos

ODISHA STATE BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HOLD GB MEETING:

State Branch of AIBSNLREA held a General body at 11 AM on 25.08.2019 in the Conference Hall of Door Sanchar Bhawan in which 36 members participated. 14 new members attended the meeting. Minutes of the previous GB meeting was first confirmed and then discussions were held on different issues. Members expressed their happiness of having participated in the picnic arranged by the association at Sikhar Chandi, Bhubaneswar on 23.01.2019. The CVP issue of Shri Banabara Swain, which is being handled at CHQ level, was also discussed. The procedure to switch over to CGHS facility was discussed in the House and members were advised to take conscious decision about switching over. One-time payment to be made by the pensioners are to be reimbursed by BSNL. Members also expressed their concern about non-revision of pension. The GB also discussed about AIC to be held at Madurai and selected a few delegates to attend the Conference. The participants had the opportunity to listen to the presentations by Shri S.C. Tripathy on Yoga, Shri N.K.Dash on facts about Jagannath deity, Shri R.S.Patra on his works on various social fronts and writings and Shri B.D.Panda also on Yoga to the greatest appreciation of all participants. The meeting ended with presentation of vote of thanks which was followed by a contributory Lunch.

ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING OF AIBSNLREA, ODISHA STATE BRANCH HELD:

Odisha State Branch of AIBSNLREA held its Annual General Body Meeting in the Conference Hall of Door Sanchar Bhawan, Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 18.11.2018. The meeting was presided over by Shri Sanatan Das, President, Odisha State Branch. The meeting was attended by a very large of numbers. Twelve retired executives joined the Association as Life Members. The meeting started with presentation of welcome address by Shri B K Mallick, CWC Member. The Report of activities of the State Association was presented by Shri Pravat Kumar Kar, State Secretary. Shri N Mahapatra, State Financial Secretary presented the Audited Accounts before the House. These Reports were adopted after some discussions on some points. After the presidential speech, election of new set of office-bearers for the next term was conducted. A new body was elected unanimously with S/Shri Sanatan Das (State President), S/Shri Deodhari Lal Das & Biswanath Sarkhol (State Vice Presidents), Shri Pravat Kumar Kar (State Secretary), Shri Dilip Kumar Mohanty (Asst. State Secretary), Shri Bibhu Prasad Mishra (State Organizing Secretary), Shri Nakula Mahapatra (State Financial Secretary), Shri Bijaya Kumar Mallick (CWC Member), S/Shri Bhabani Prasad Dash, Rabi Narayan Satapathy, Sarat Chandra Sahoo & Kirani Mohanta (all State Executive Committee Members). Shri Maheswar Biswal was nominated as Auditor. The House also selected S/Shri M R P Patnaik and Rabindra Nath Samal as the Advisors. Thereafter, the new State Body took over. The meeting concluded after presentation of Vote of Thanks by Shri M R P Patnaik.
