GENERAL BODY MEETING OF AIBSNLREA, DHARWAD DISTRICT (HUBLI) BRANCH::

The General Body Meeting of All India Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Retired Executives’ Association, Dharwad District (Hubli) Branch, Karnataka was held on Friday the 29th July 2016 at the Conference Hall, BSNL Sadan in the premises of GMTD, Hubli. Shri B G Kanavi, President chaired the meeting. Shri A. S. Parwatikar, Branch Secretary welcomed the members and addressed the gathering. He specially appreciated the good attendance despite continuous heavy rains for the last one week. He highlighted the current issues taken up by CHQ in the interest of pensioners. He informed in depth about the order issued rescinding the pension liability clause between DOT and BSNL on 60:40 ratio and extension of fitment benefit by merger of 78.2% DA for the purpose of revision of pension. Various correspondences made by Shri.S Basu General Secretary, CHQ AIBSNLREA on pension/family pension issues and medical facilities, removal of notional arrangement and release of benefits from 1st January, 2007 etc were mainly highlighted and appreciated by all the members. Members requested the General Secretary to expedite the process of removal of notional arrangement and release of benefits from 1st January 2007. Shri V.V.Katti, Financial Secretary and Shri B G Bandarkeri Asst Finance Secretary (CHQ) informed the house about the issues discussed in the All India conference held at Bhubaneswar on 2nd and 3rd July, 2016. The Hubli Branch was very happy for Shri B G Bandarkeri Retd. Chief Accounts Officer, Hubli being elected as Asst Finance Secretary (CHQ) and congratulated him. Shri B G Bandarkeri then gave detailed information about the deliberations that took place in the AIC held on 2nd & 3rd July 2016 in Bhubaneswar. He also read out the resolutions passed in the AIC and the house discussed on those issues. The members expressed their satisfaction on the systematic persuasion by Shri.S BASU General Secretary, CHQ AIBSNLREA and his team in regard to the issue of implementation of DPE Order allowing fitment benefit by merger of 78.2% DA. Our delegates appreciated the extraordinary efforts, arrangements and Hospitality made by CHQ for the AIC held at Bhubaneswar. Shri B G Kanavi, President addressed the members and highlighted the recent developments as regards to the retired BSNL officers. New retired officers were enrolled in the meeting and were extended warm welcome by all other members of the association, Hubli Branch. The meeting ended with vote of thanks to the chair and members by Shri A D Pai.
