AIBSNLREA GUJARAT STATE HOLDS ITS ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING:

The Annual General Body cum Get together meeting of AIBSNLREA Gujarat state was held on 20th June, 2024 at Gujarat Chamber of Commerce Hall, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad at 3.30 PM. The meeting was presided by Shri P. B. Parmar, State President. 251 members attended the meeting inspite of forecast of heavy rains. The President warmly welcomed the members and other dignitaries present. He extended special welcome for newly enrolled members who had joined AIBSNLREA. He spoke in detail about Pension Revision case including stand taken by our CHQ and efforts made by other Associations in Principal Bench CAT and getting a favourable judgement. He spoke about FMA to CGHS beneficiaries, and Grant of notional increment for the purpose of pensionary benefits. He also told that we have taken up the IT related issues with CCA Gujarat. He appraised the status of the case to the house regarding grant of 5% increase of additional pension after completion of age of 65, 70 and 75 years as recommended by Parliamentary Standing Committee. Two minutes silence was observed in memory of the departed members and their family members.

State Secretary Shri S.L. Sharma presented his report and provided details about meetings with CGMT Ahmedabad, CCA Ahmedabad and AD CGHS Ahmedabad for resolving the various issues of members. He told that we attended all the pension adalats and have taken up the numerous cases of members in Pension Adalats conducted by CCA Ahmedabad and got positive resolutions of their grievances.

Dr. Anshi Rathod, renowned eye surgeon of EYE CARE Hospital spoke about various eye related diseases and how to avoid them. She specifically advised to take care of our eyes in this old age, precautions to be taken while using the mobile. She also answered the questions raised by pensioners.

Mrs Shreeja, AO Pension on behalf of the CCA Gujarat, Ahmedabad, addressed the gathering regarding usefulness of SAMPANN and its status as on date viz Updation of pensioners records based on KYP received by them, issue of Identity Cards. She told that they have now finalised contract for printing of I/ Cards, on receipt , those will be distributed in a phased manner. She further told that they are to arrange One day outreach Camp at various SSA HQs for resolving grievances of pensioners at their doorstep. She answered the queries raised by the pensioner regarding issues faced after migration from Banks and Post Offices. Shri P.K. Shrivastav, GM(A) o/o CGMT Ahmedabad addressed the house on behalf of CGM Gujarat and informed that they are resolving the problems of pensioners on priority basis. On receipt of request for holding pensioners' adalat from BSNL side, he assured that it is a good idea and they are going to arrange pensioners' adalat in near future for resolving grievances of pensioners across the table. Dr. P.B.Thombre, representative on behalf of AD, CGHS Ahmedabad spoke about awareness of CGHS, wellness centres and hospitals and regarding various Services provided by CGHS to the CGHS beneficiaries.

Shri M.T.Patel, Circle Finance Secretary presented audited financial report of F.Y. 2023-24, it was discussed and passed unanimously by the house. Shri R.F.Parekh, Asst. Finance Secretary, CHQ addressed the house and told about increasing of membership and requested the members to donate liberally to hold such Get together meetings twice in a year. Shri B.M.Bhavsar, Working President, addressed the house about family pension, pension adalats, need of joint accounts and nominations at all levels, enjoying second and third innings of life, submission of life certificates digitally and physically etc.

About 55 senior members above 70 years were honoured with shawls. New office bearers were elected unanimously, with Shri P.B.Parmar , Shri N.P.Patel and Shri M.T.Patel elected as President , State Secretary and Finance Secretary respectively. ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING CUM GET TOGETHER OF AIBSNLREA GUJARAT STATE HELD:

Annual General Body –cum- Get together meeting of Gujarat state Body was held on 20th July 2023 at Gujarat Chamber of Commerce Hall, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad at 03.00 PM. It was presided by Shri P. B. Parmar, State President. 221 members attended the meeting inspite of heavy rain in Gujarat. President welcomed the members and other dignitaries present in the meeting. He also extended special welcome for new members who joined AIBSNLREA. 2 minutes silence was observed in memory of the departed members and their family members. State Secretary Shri S.L. Sharma presented his report and addressed the house regarding details about meeting with CGMT Ahmedabad, CCA Ahmedabad and AD CGHS Ahmedabad.

Mrs Jayati Samaddar, CCA Ahmedabad, addressed the gathering regarding usefulness of SAMPANN and its status as on date. She said that they will be arranging “One day outreach Camp” at various SSA HQs and they have already arranged such camps at Vadodara & Godhra recently.She answered the queries raised by the pensioners regarding problems faced by them after migration from Banks and Post Offices.

Dr.Manakiwala gave presentations about Dental Treatment. Dr. Hemang Abani gave presentations on Orthopaedic treatment specially regarding knee replacement in details. Dr. Nikhil Vyas gave presentations regarding necessity of donation of organs after death for better life to blind and other needy persons. Shri M.T.Patel, State Finance Secretary presented audited financial report of F.Y. 2022-23, it was discussed and passed unanimously by the house.

Shri R.F.Valand, Asstt. Finance Secretary, CHQ spoke about increasing of membership and requested the members to donate liberally to hold such Get together meetings twice in a year. Shri B.M.Bhavsar, Working President, addressed the house in detail about our court cases, 3rd PRC & Pension Revision. Shri D.M.Patel, Advisor, could not remain present due to his health problem but sent a written message which was read out by Shri J.M.Nayi, Asstt. State Secretary.

GUJARAT STATE BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HOLD A GB MEETING:

AIBSNLREA, Gujarat State Branch held its General Body cum Get together Meeting in Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall, Ahmedabad on 17.12.2019 at 2.30 PM. Breaking all previous records, more than 300 members attended the meeting and 16 new members joined the Association raising the membership strength of State Branch to 1270. Shri P. B. Parmar, State President, who presided over the meeting, welcomed the members and appraised them with the current main issue of pension revision. The meeting started with lighting of lamp followed by observance of two minutes silence in memory of the departed members and family members. President, Chief Guest and two new CHQ members were honoured with bouquet. Guests of honour Director Shri Sandeep Joshi, Dr. Sharad Jain (Sr. Consultant- Interventional Cardiologist), Dr Sudhir Adalati (Cardiac Surgeon) from Apollo Hospital, Ahmedabad addressed the house. Administrative Officer, CGHS Gujarat Unit attended the meeting and appraised the house about CGHS facilities, its procedure and clarified the points raised by the members. Shri S. L. Sharma, State Secretary briefed the members about the activities of State Branch after last meeting. He also reported about the AIC of Bharat Pensioners Samaj and appraised the house about the issues raised there. He also reported that Gujarat State Branch was represented in the AIC of AIBSNLREA held at Madurai with a record number of 37 delegates. Along with other State Office Bearers, he also attended various meetings conducted by District Branches. The General Body passed a resolution to conduct CWC at Gujarat in consultation with the CHQ. NADIAD BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD BI-MONTHLY GB MEETING:

Nadiad SSA Branch (Gujarat State) of AIBSNLREA held its Bi-monthly get together cum General Body Meeting on 16th November, 2019 at Jalaram Vishram Trust, Karamsad Distt. Anand. Forty-five members attended the meeting. Four new members also joined the Association. Shri B.M. Patel, Branch Secretary welcomed the members and reported the activities of the Branch. He informed that this get-together meeting was sponsored by Shri D.A.Patel, Retd DE, Anand who was then honoured along with Shri B M Bhavsar, ex-Organizing Secretary (West), CHQ with presentation of incense sticks-packet and religious book. Shri B.M.Bhavsar reported about the deliberations that took place in the 2nd A.I.C. held at Madurai including the discussions held and resolutions adopted in the AIC on BSNL’s Revival Plan, Revision of Pension, medical claims under BSNLMRS, CGHS facilities etc. He also called for enrolling more members in the Association. NADIAD BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD ITS BI-MONTHLY GB MEETING:

Nadiad Branch (Gujarat State) of AIBSNLREA held its Bi-monthly General Body meeting on 04.09.2019 at Rotary Club Hall, Nadiad. Sixty-Five members attended the meeting. Three new members also joined the Association. Shri B.M. Patel, Branch Secretary welcomed the members and reported the activities of the Branch. He reported that most of the members of the branch did not their medical bills without vouchers for 2018-19. However, most of the members got payment of medical bills with vouchers. Shri P.B.Pramar, State President spoke about Pension Revision as per 3rd PRC / 7th CPC fitment formula. He also told that due to financial condition of BSNL, payment of medical bills with and without vouchers will be delayed. Shri S.L.Sharma , State Secretary appraised the house about current affairs of the Association and the work done by the state branch. Shri B.M.Bhavsar Org. Secretary (W) CHQ spoke about old age problems, necessity of enjoying second Inning for long and healthy life, benefits of exercise, yoga, walking and laughing etc. Shri B.M.Patel , Branch Secretary was honoured by the members of Nadiad Branch with shawl and bouquet for his excellent work for solving the problems of members of Nadiad SSA Branch .Vote of thanks was presented by Shri R.G.Verma, Retd. JUNAGADH BRANCH OF AIBSNLRERA HELD ITS GENERAL BODY MEETING:

A General Body Meeting of Junagadh Branch (Gujarat State) of AIBSNLREA was held on 22.07.2019 at Garden Café Restaurant, Junagadh under the chairmanship of Branch President Shri S D Kanabar. 70 members including some family members were present. Four new members joined the Association. Two minutes’ silence was observed in memory of late Shri T.K.Chitroda and other members/family members who expired within last one year. Four senior members who crossed seventy years were honoured by presentation of shawl and bouquet. Shri K.P.Dobaria, Finance Secretary briefed the members on all current issues and efforts being made by the branch to solve the problems. State President Shri P.B.Parmar briefed the house about current status of pension revision as per 3rd PRC with 15% fitment benefits and efforts being made by pensioners associations. He discussed about financial position of BSNL and payment of medical bills. He told that G.S. has suggested BSNL regarding parity in entitlement of re-imbursement of medical bills between past and new pensioners. State Secretary Shri S.L.Sharma briefed the house regarding the initiatives of the State Branch in solving the problems of the members and assured for better service in future. Shri B.M.Bhavsar, Org. Secretary (W), CHQ appealed to the members for donation for legal fund for our court case on pay and pension arrear issue in Pr. Bench CAT New Delhi which requires huge financial support. ANNUAL GB MEETING OF AIBSNLREA, GUJARAT STATE BRANCH HELD:

AIBSNLREA, Gujarat State Branch held its Annual General Body cum Get together Meeting in Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall, Ahmedabad on 10.06.2019 at 2.30 PM. About 275 members attended the meeting. 25 new members were also enrolled. Total strength of State Branch reached 1244 life members. Shri P.B.Parmar, State President presided over the meeting. He welcomed the members and appraised them with current problem of re-imbursement of medical bills and pension revision. The meeting started with lighting of the lamp. It was followed with observance of two minutes silence in memory of the departed members. Senior members above 70 years of age as on 31.03.2019 were honoured with Shawl and Bouquet. Chief Guest Shri Nitin Singhal, Consultant Surgical Oncologist, Apollo Hospital, Ahmedabad apprised the house about cancer. Shri A.D.Raval, State Secretary addressed the gathering with details of work done by State Branch during the last year. He also reported that along with other office bearers, he attended various meetings conducted by District Branches. Shri B.M.Bhavsar, Org. Secretary(W),CHQ also addressed the members and discussed the current problems of pension revision and CGHS facility. Shri M T Patel, State Financial Secretary placed the accounts for the financial year 2018-19 which was passed by the house unanimously. Existing executive body was then dissolved by the president. Shri R.B. Goswami was nominated as election officer to conduct election. New executive body for the State Branch was elected unanimously with minor changes in the outgoing executive body. While S/Shri P.B.Parmar and S.L. Sharma were elected as State President as State Secretary respectively, Shri M T Patel was elected as State Financial Secretary. Shri S.M.Chamar presented the vote of thanks. The whole meeting was well conducted Shri R H Barot. Dinner was served after the meeting.

21.12.2018:

MEETING OF AIBSNLREA, GUJARAT STATE BRANCH HELD:

Gujarat State Branch of AIBSNLREA held a meeting, which was presided over by Shri P B Parmar, State President, on 17.12.2018 at Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall, Ahmedabad to observe Pensioners’ Day. The meeting started with lighting of lamp & prayer. Two minutes silence was observed in memory of the departed members and the family members. Dr. Shashank Rathod, a well-known Eye Surgeon, gave a demonstration on EYE disease. Dr. Kamal Kapoor, CCA Ahmedabad gave lecture regarding direct payment by CCA instead of through CPPC of Banks & Postal H.O Both of them cleared the doubts raised by the members. Guests were honored by presenting bouquets. Shri C.J.Patel presented the Report of the State Secretary briefing the members on many important issues taken up with concerned authorities by the state branch, Pension Revision & payment of medical bills etc. Shri B.M.Bhavsar, Org Secretary (W) CHQ also addressed the house and gave a lecture on celebration of Pensioners’ Day on 17th December every year, delinking of pension revision from pay revision of BSNL employees, hurdles in payment of medical bills etc. The Branch Secretaries briefed the house about the activities in their branches. The meeting was conducted by Shri R.H.Barot. Vote of thanks was presented by Vice-President Shri R.M.Nayi. The Meeting was followed by dinner. About 275 members attended the meeting. Twenty new members were added and total membership reached to 1200.

15.07.2018:

SURAT BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD A GB MEETING:

Surat Branch (Gujarat State) of AIBSNLREA held a General Body Meeting on 04.10.2018 in the Community Hall, Door Sanchar Colony, Surat. 59 members attended the meeting which was chaired by Shri Baburam. The meeting started at 10.30 AM with observation of two minutes silence to pay homage to Late Shri A B Patel, State Secretary. Shri N.J.Nakawala, Branch Secretary welcomed the members and reported the activities of the Branch during the current term. Surat Branch started functioning from 8/10/2010 with 15 members which has now reached to 106 life members. Members expressed their dis-satisfaction due to inordinate delay in payment of medical claims with and without voucher facility and non-revision of pension. Shri A.M.Vohara, Finance Secretary presented the Income and Expenditure report which was passed by the house. Shri Baburam who presided over the meeting explained the reasons for delay in payment of medical claims and also the status of implementation of 3rd PRC Report etc. He expressed his deep concern for closing of concessional Telephone connections provided with WLL Technology in TNF areas after closure of the WLL Exchange.

Thereafter, the existing body was dissolved and a three member Committee under the Chairmanship of Shri S.S.Negi conducted election of new Office bearers. Following Office Bearers were elected unanimously:- President: Shri Baburam, Vice President: Shri P.H.Dhola, Branch Secretary: Shri N J Nakawala, Asst Secretary: S/Shri C D Patel and L B Patel, Finance Secretary: Shri A S Pethani. The meeting ended with presentation of Vote of Thanks by Shri M K Prajapati.

Nadiad Branch (Gujarat State) of AIBSNLREA held its Bi-monthly General Body meeting on 11.07.2018 at Lions Club Hall, Anand. Fifty seven members attended the meeting. Three new members also joined the Association. Shri B.M. Patel, Branch Secretary welcomed the members and reported the activities of the Branch. He reported that all members of the branch have got their medical bills without vouchers for 2017-18. Dr Mahesh T Desai, an well-known doctor was the Chief Guest, who spoke about health consciousness. Shri P.B.Pramar, Circle President spoke about Pension Revision as per 3rd PRC, Extension of outdoor Medical treatment without vouchers. Shri A.B.Patel, Circle Secretary appraised about current affairs such as pension revision from 1.1.2017, medical reimbursement with and without vouchers, present status of court case for getting arrears from 1-1-2007 to 9-6-2013 as per 78.2% IDA fitment. Shri B.M.Bhavsar Org. Secretary (W) CHQ spoke about age old problems, necessity of enjoying second Inning for long and healthy life, benefits of exercise, yoga, walking and laughing etc. Vote of thanks was presented by Shri R.H.Parikh, Retd. A General Body Meeting of Junagadh Branch (Gujarat State) was held on 12.07.2018 at Garden Café Restaurant, Junagah. Total 65 members including family members were present in spite of heavy rain throughout the day. Two new members joined the Association Shri S.D.Kanabar, Branch President presided over the function. He welcomed all the members. Shri K.P.Dobaria, Finance Secretary briefed the members on all current issues and efforts made by the branch for solving the problems. ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING OF VARODARA BRANCH HELD:

Annual General Body meeting of AIBSNLREA Vadodara Branch (Gujarat State) was held at 11.00 PM on 13.07.2018 at Hotel Utsav. 79 members attended the meeting despite heavy downpour. President Shri Ainapure welcomed all the members. Shri R T Shah, Branch Secretary presented a comprehensive report on the activities of the branch since last election. The members participated in discussions on important issues. Thereafter, election was conducted to elect new Office bearers of the Branch. Following is the composition of the new body: President - Shri Patel I A, Vice Presidents – S/Shri Modi K A and Desai N G, Branch secretary - Shri Shah R T, Asst. GENERAL BODY MEETING OF AIBSNLREA, GUJARAT STATE BRANCH HELD:

Gujarat State Branch of AIBSNLREA held a General Body cum Get together meeting on 11.05.2018 at Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall, Ahmedabad. The President Shri P.B. Parmar , Retd PGM(Fin) chaired the meeting and delivered his welcome address. The meeting started with lighting of Lamp & Prayer. Two minutes silence was observed in the memory of departed members and the family members. Dr. Jayesh Prajapati, Cardiologist gave a demonstration on heart disease. The senior members above 70 years were honoured by offering bouquets & shawls. Shri A.B.Patel, State Secretary briefed the members on many important issues like Pay Revision of the serving executives as per 3rd PRC, revision of pension of past pensioners of BSNL, legal remedy being sought for by the Association on pay and pension arrears following issue of orders for fitment benefit by merger of 78.2% IDA, medical facilities under BSNLMRS and CGHS. He also mentioned about the Orders issued by Corporate Office for release of payment for 3rd and 4th quarters under without voucher facility to the retired employees after the Association took up the issue. He also clarified the doubts raised by the members on different issues. Shri M.T.Patel Finance Secretary presented the accounts for the FY 2017-18. It was passed unanimously. Shri R.C. Sharma, AGS, CHQ addressed the house on current issues. Shri B.M.Bhavsar, Org Secretary (W) CHQ also addressed the house and attached importance on the necessity of making “WILL” at the old age for avoiding disputes among legal heirs. Vote of thanks was presented by Shri R.M.Nayi. The Meeting was followed by delicious dinner. The Meeting was compered by Shri R.H.Barot. About 200 members attended the meeting in spite of mercury crossing 45 degrees C.

19.01.2018:

RAJKOT BRANCH HELD ITS GENERAL BODY MEETING:

A General body meeting of Rajkot branch (Gujarat State) was held on 17-01-2018 at the conference hall of K.R.Telephone Exchange Building, Rajkot. Total 30 members were present. One new member joined the Association. Total membership of the Branch reached to 47.The meeting was presided over by Branch President Shri M.M. Chaniyara, who welcomed the members and briefed the members on all current issues and efforts made by the branch for solving the problems. State Secretary Shri A.B.Patel briefed the house regarding the initiatives of the State Branch for solving the problem of the members. He briefed about current status of court case for implementation 78.2% fixation from 1-1-2007 and other pension related issues and appealed to the members to donate liberally for legal fund as it requires huge financial support since the case is in Hon. Supreme court of India. He also told about DOT’s move on disbursement of pension directly in the accounts of the pensioners/family pensioners from the office of concerned CCAs instead of Post offices and Banks and our stand on the issue. Shri B.M.Bhavsar, Org. Secretary (W), CHQ addressed the House. He briefed the house about Medical reimbursement problems for with and without vouchers in details. He also told about the necessity of preparing “WILL” for our heirs to avoid litigation. Some local problems were also discussed. The meeting ended with vote of thanks presented by Shri Bhimani. It was followed by lunch sponsored by Shri M.D.Acharya, Senior Member of the Branch.

GUJARAT STATE BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD A GB MEETING:

Gujarat State Branch of AIBSNLREA held a get-together cum GB Meeting and celebrated Pensioners’ Day on 20th December, 2017 at 15-00 Hrs in Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall, Ahmedabad. Total 300 members attended the meeting and 23 new members joined the Association taking the total life membership to 1118. The meeting started with lightening of lamp and prayer by S/Shri B. C. Chauhan and P.K.Shah. The house then observed two minutes silence in memory of departed members and also some family members. Two Doctors from Apollo Hospital graced the occasion as Guests who were honoured by presentation of bouquets. Then Chief Guest Dr. Utpal Shah, a Cardiac Surgeon gave his presentation regarding Bypass Surgery and cardiac care. The Guest of Honour Dr. Mukesh Sharma, a Neurologist gave presentation on Brain Stroke. State President Shri P.B.Parmar presided over the function. In his welcome speech, he informed about pension revision issue. State Secretary Shri A.B.Patel presented his brief report on the activities of the State Branch and also about the cases taken up during the period, He briefed the House about the action taken by CHQ for Court case for getting the arrears from 1-1-2007 regarding 78.2% IDA merger. He further requested for the donation for legal fund. Then Shri B.M. Bhavsar, Organizing Secretary (West), CHQ addressed the house. He informed about the 3rd PRC and regarding preparation of "WILL" and for giving advertisements for preparation of Members' Directory. NADIAD BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD BI-MONTHLY GB MEETING:

Nadiad Branch (Gujarat State) of AIBSNLREA held its Bi-monthly General Body meeting on 23-11-2017 at Jay Maharaj Park Farm House, Boriyavi Village, near Anand. Forty seven members attended meeting. Three new members also joined the Association. Shri B.M. Patel, Branch Secretary welcomed the members and reported the activities of the Branch. He reported that all members of the branch have got their revised PPOs and also received the payments, except one member who retired from WTR and it is to be issued by Pr.CCA Mumbai. Cases of absorption in BSNL of Shri B.S.Patel and Shri M.G.Malek have been settled. However medical reimbursement of outdoor treatment without voucher is yet to be paid. The meeting was addressed by Shri P.B.Parmar, Circle President, Shri A.B.Patel, Circle Secretary and Shri B.M.Bhavsar Org. Secretary (W) CHQ . They appraised about current affairs such as Pay revision as per 3rd PRC and pension revision from 1-1-2017, medical reimbursement with and without vouchers, court case for getting arrears from 1-1-2007 to 9-6-2013 as per 78.2% IDA fitment formula and preparation of WILL etc. Vote of thanks was presented by Shri D.A.Patel. This was followed by lunch which was sponsored by Shri A.M.Mistry, Retd DE, Nadiad.

VARODARA BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD QUARTERLY GB MEETING:

The Quarterly General Body meeting of Vadodara Branch was held on 22-11-2017, at Hotel Utsav. 72 members attended meeting. Shri Ainapure, President of the Branch welcomed all the members. Shri R T Shah, Branch Secretary, Vadodara conducted the meeting & briefed the activities of Vadodara Branch of the Association. Shri B M Bhavsar, Organising Secretary (West), CHQ and Shri A B Patel, State Secretary, Gujarat addressed the House. VARODARA BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HOLDS ITS QUATERLY GB MEETING:

Varodara Branch (Gujarat State) of AIBSNLREA held its quarterly General Body meeting on 10-08-2017 at Hotel Utsav. Sixty seven members attended meeting. Shri Biniwale, President welcomed the members and then the house observed silence in memory of the departed members. Shri R T Shah, Branch Secretary briefed the activities of the Branch. He reported that all members of the branch have got their revised PPO and received payment of arrears. A few cases of 3% promotion benefit were also solved and the concerned members got the arrears on this account from BSNL. The long pending issue of non-payment of dental charges in Varodara SSA was also resolved. Shri A B Patel, State Secretary and Shri S L Sharma from State Branch addressed the gathering. The house decided to have next meeting with family on 20.08-2017 to enjoy musical event with dinner. The house disbursed after taking lunch. Afterwards, a delegation comprising of S/Shri A B Patel , S L Sharma, R T Shah, Shri Biniwale President and S Z Tailor met DGM F and PGM, Vadodara to discuss the problems of Vadodara SSA. ANNUAL GB MEETING OF GUJARAT STATE BRANCH HELD:

AIBSNLREA, Gujarat State Branch held it’s Annual General Body Meeting cum Get together Meeting in Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall, Ahmedabad on 25.5.2017 at 2.30 PM. About 275 members attended the meeting. 29 new members were also enrolled. Total strength of State Branch reached 1055 members. S/Shri R.S.Agrawal State vice President presided over the function. He welcomed the members and appraised the members with current problem of 78.2 IDA merger pension revisions. The meeting started with lighting of the lamp. It was followed with observance of two minutes silence in memory of the departed members. Senior members who completed 70 years of age as on 31.03.2017 were honoured with Shawl and Bouquet. A. B. Patel State Secretary addressed the gathering with details of work done by state branch during the last year. He appraised the members regarding medical bills, free night calling facility, medical reimbursement option without vouchers. He told that he along with other office bearers attended various meetings conducted by District Branches. Shri D M Patel, State Vice President also addressed the gathering and gave details about 2nd option of 7th CPC as well as the necessity to conduct type get-together meetings 3 to 4 times a year instead of twice a year. Shri B.M.Bhavsar, Org. Secretary(W),CHQ also addressed the members and discussed the current problems including effect of 3rd PRC. He put some resolutions before the house, which were passed unanimously. Shri M T Patel, State Financial Secretary placed the accounts for the financial year 2016-17 which was passed by the house unanimously. Existing executive body was dissolved by the president of function Shri S.R.Agrawal. New executive body was elected with minor alterations in existing executive body unanimously. Main office bearers were re-elected were: Shri P.B.Parmar as State President, Shri A B Patel as State Secretary and Shri M T Patel as State Financial Secretary. CWC members were also elected as per norms. Shri R.M.Nayi presented the vote of thanks. The whole meeting was well conducted Shri R H Barot. The meeting was followed by dinner.

GUJARAT STATE BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD A MEETING:

Gujarat State Branch of AIBSNLREA held a get-together cum Pensioners' day celebration meeting on 23rd December, 2016 at 15-00 Hrs in Ahmedabad medical Association Hall, Ahmedabad. Total 250 members attended the meeting and 13 new members joined the Association taking the total life membership to 916. The meeting started with lightening of lamp and prayer by Shri B. C. Chauhan. The house then observed two minutes silence in memory of departed members and also some family members. Two Doctors from Apollo Hospital graced the occasion as Guests who were honoured by presentation of bouquets. Then Chief Guest Dr. Hasit Joshi, a cardiac surgeon gave his presentation regarding B.P. and cardiac care. The Guest of Honour Dr. Hrutij Bhatt gave presentation on backache and spindle care. State President Shri P.B.Parmar presided over the meeting. In his welcome speech, he informed that against the target of 1000 membership, the State Branch could add only 60 members during the period after last meeting. He briefed the House about the action taken by State branch after issue of orders for 78.2% IDA merger and the efforts made to settle the individual problems of the members. State Secretary Shri A.B.Patel presented his brief report on the activity of the State branch, latest position of the revision of pension work as on 22nd December, 2016 and also about the cases taken during the period, He further requested for the donation. Vice president Shri. D. M. Patel spoke regarding the message received from an association regarding court case on 78.2% IDA merger issue and asking to sign ''Vakalatnama” which is unwarranted. Then Shri B.M. Bhavsar, Organizing Secretary (West), CHQ addressed the house. He informed about the 3rd PRC and other issues. Shri R.M.Nayi, Asstt. Finance Secretary presented his vote of thanks. ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING OF AIBSNLREA, GUJARAT STATE BRANCH:

Gujarat State Branch of AIBSNLREA held it’s AGM on 02.05.2016 at Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall at Ahmedabad. The meeting started with lightening of lamp followed by prayer by Shri P K Shah Retd, AGM ATD. President Shri P. B. Parmar welcomed all the participants and informed about approval of Cabinet note on the proposal regarding merger of 78.2% for fitment of pension by Minister of Communications & IT. He appraised the members about AIC at Bhubaneswar and informed about dates of conference, delegate fee etc. and asked members to come forward to attend the AIC. He also informed about the activities of the Association during last six months. The House observed silence in memory of the departed members and family members of the Association. Out of forty four eligible senior Life Members who completed 70 years as on 31.03.2016 with minimum one year membership, twenty two members attended conference and they were honoured with bouquet and shawl. A presentation given by the Cardiac Surgeon of Apollo Hospital Ahmedabad was liked by all members. Secretary, Shri A. B. Patel addressed the gathering and gave brief report on the issues taken up with administration by the State Branch and CHQ. He gave latest information on the issue of Pension anomaly case of pensioners who retired during first ten months of formation of BSNL. Shri D. M. Patel, Vice President gave details on annual ceiling limit of medical reimbursement for Pre-2007 retirees and explained this. He also explained the admissibility of minimum pension to Pre-2006 retirees w. e. f. 01.01.2006 (including the pensioners’ having less than 33 years of service). Shri J K Makeana Retd. DE gave details of “NEW DIET SYSTEM” for maintaining health without any medicine. Joint Secretary (West) CHQ Shri B. M. Bhavasar also addressed the house and gave his experience on this “NAVI BHOJAN PRATHA” (NEW DIET SYSTEM). The meeting concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Shri Y. K. Patni, Jt. Secretary. The meeting was followed by a dinner. Total 240 members attended this meeting and 17 new members were got also enrolled. Gujarat State Branch of AIBSNLREA held its GB meeting and Diwali get together on 15-12-2015 at Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall in Ahmedabad. The meeting started with lightening of lamp followed by prayer by Shri B.C.Chauhan. President Shri P.B.Parmar welcomed all the participants, and informed about the activities of the Association during last six months. The House observed silence in memories of flood victims of Taminadu and also the departed members and family members of the Association. Joint secretary (West) CHQ Shri B.M.Bhavasar addressed house emphasizing the need of association of pensioners and increase of its membership. State Secretary Shri A.B.Patel addressed gathering and gave brief report on issues of the members taken up with administration by the State Branch and CHQ. He gave latest information on the issue of pension revision with fitment benefit by merger of 78.2% IDA and Pension anomaly case of pensioners who retired during first ten months of formation of BSNL etc. Shri D.M.Patel Vice President gave details on 7th CPC and 3rd PRC. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Shri R.M.Nayi Asst. Finance Secretary. The meeting was followed by a dinner. GENERAL BODY MEETING OF AIBSNLREA, GUJARAT STATE BRANCH HELD:

Gujarat State Branch of AIBSNLREA held its General Body Meeting on 25.05.2015 at Ahmedabad. 230 members attended the meeting and 24 new life members were enrolled during the meeting. Dr. Amit Agrawal and Dr Maharshi Bhatt graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. The meeting started by lighting of the lamp followed by prayers. The House first observed two minutes silence in memory of the recent earth quake victims and the departed pensioners and their family members. Thirty six senior members, who completed their 70 years of age, were honoured with presentation of bouquets and shawl. Then President Shri R.B.Goswami welcomed the Guests and the members. Both the Doctors gave an very useful presentation on orthopedic problems particularly about knee problems and replacement of joints with the help of slide show. They also cleared the doubts of the members. The State Secretary Shri. A.B.Patel informed the House about the latest position of the current issues like merger of 78.2% IDA with basic pension, Pension anomaly case, Fake Calls being received about PF etc.. Assistant Finance Secretary Shri R.M.Nayi presented the account for the year 2014-15 which was passed by the House. Shri B.M.Bhavsar, Advisor then addressed the gathering. Thereafter, the Election for new office bearers for the next term was conducted. Shri P.B.Parmar, Rtd Principal G.M. (Finance) Gujarat Circle was elected as president. S/Shri A.B.Patel and M.T.Patel were elected as the State Secretary and Financial Secretary respectively. Shri A.N.Bhavsar gave the vote of thanks. The meeting was followed by a Dinner arranged in the same venue.
