DG CGHS O.M. vide F.No.Z15025/27/2023/DIR/CGHS dated 12th September 2023 GUIDELINES REGARDING PURCHASE OF MEDICINES BY POST-ORGAN TRANSPLANT SURGERY PATIENTS UNDER CGHS CGHS has issued guidelines regarding purchase of medicines by Post-organ Transplant Surgery Patients under CGHS. According to the O.M., CGHS beneficiaries, who are recovering from Organ Transplant surgery shall be permitted to purchase OPD medicines, based on the advice of the treating Specialist for up to a period of six months if they are not in a position to visit CGHS wellness centre or sent an authorised representative and the reimbursement of such medicines would be considered subject to certain conditions.
DoT OM No.4-12(12)/2018-PAT-Part (1) dated 21st July 2023 REVISED MAPPING FOR DETERMINING CGHS SUBSCRIPTION AND WARD ENTITLEMENT DoT has modified Annexure-B to its OM dated 01.07.2019, revising the mapping of IDA and CDA pay scales for deciding the rate of monthly CGHS contribution and entitlement of wards in private hospitals empanelled under CGHS in respect of retired BSNL/MTNL employees who receive pension from Central Civil Estimates and avail CGHS facilities. The O.M and mapping is not applicabe for pro-rata pensioners who retired from DoT under CDA pay scale.
DG CGHS O.M. vide F.No.H.11020/2/2023-EHS dated 26.07.2023 OPTION TO INCLUDE EITHER PARENTS OR PARENTS-IN-LAW FOR AVAILING THE BENEFITS UNDER CGHS TO MALE EMPLOYEES Hitherto the option to include either parents or parents-in-law for availing the benefits under CGHS was available only to Female Government employees. CGHS has now extended this facility to male employees, subject to the conditions of dependence and residence etc being satisfied.

DG CGHS OM No.Z 15025/1/2023/DIR/CGHS dated 1st May 2023 CGHS DIRECTORATE REITERATES ITS EARLIER ORDERS ON VALIDITY OF CGHS CARD IN ANY WELLNESS CENTRE IN INDIA DG CGHS has reiterated the contents of its earlier order dated 17th December 2012 that CGHS card is valid in any Wellness Centre in India, medicines shall be issued for upto 3 months in case of chronic illnesses and referral for treatment from private empanelled hospitals shall be issued from any CGHS Wellness Centre.
MoH&FW F.No.S.11030/19/2023-EHS dated 17th March 2023 MODIFIED GUIDELINES ON SETTING UP OF LOCAL ADVISORY COMMITTEES FOR ALL CGHS DISPENSARIES MoH&FW has issued revised guidelines for setting up of Grievance/Advisory Committees for all Health and Wellness Centres across the country and Zonal Advisory Committee (ZAC) at the level of Additional Director of the concerned Zone to facilitate seemless delivery of health care services and prompt redressal of grievances within CGHS System.
DG CGHS Office Order No.Z.15025/7/2022/DIR/CGHS dated 15th December 2022 CGHS DIRECTORATE ISSUES INSTRUCTIONS TO ALL CGHS WELLNESS CENTRES AND UNITS TO FOLLOW CGHS GUIDELINES ISSUED FROM TIME TO TIME DG CGHS has asked the CMOs in charge and other Medical Officers and staff of all CGHS Wellness Centres and the staff working in the administrative offices of CGHS to keep themselves with the guidelines/orders issued under CGHS and implement the same in discharging their duties. In this regard, CGHS Directorate has reiterated that special attention be paid to some issues like punctuality in attendance,validity of CGHS card in any CGHS Wellness Centre in the country, issue of medicines for three months in case of chronic illnesses etc.

DG CGHS OM F No.Z/1/2022-DIR(CGHS)-CGHS DEPARTMENT dated 10th November 2022 CLARIFICATIONS REGARDING BILLING BY CGHS EMPANELLED HOSPITALS DG CGHS has clarified that the empanelled hospitals shall not prepare two separate bills for the same period of treatment i.e., one separate bill to claim payment from CGHS/Department and another to be paid by the beneficiary.

DoP&PW O.M.No.4/05/2019-P&PW(D)dated 23rd March 2022 PROCEDURE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF CHANGE OF OPTION BY A PENSIONER/FAMILY PENSIONER FROM FMA TO CGHS (OPD) AND VICE-VERSA DoP&PW has issued a O.M. detailing the procedure for implementation of option by a pensioner/family pensioner from FMA to CGHS (OPC) and vice-versa, (i) when a pensioner residing in non-CGHS area shifts his residence to a CGHS covered area, (ii)if a pensioner residing in non-CGHS area and availing FMA in lieu of OPD facility, intends to avail CGHS facility for both OPD and IPD and (iii) if a pensioner availing CGHS for both IPD and OPD, intends to avail FMA while residing in non-CGHS area or on shifting residence from a CGHS area to a non-CGHS area.

Once installed in the mobile phone, the App provides access to booking/cancelling appointment, Medical history, Card details, Reimbursement claim status and details and location of Empanelled Centre, Wellness Centres and CGHS offices.

DoH&FW F.No.44/60/MCTC/CGHS2021/DIR/CGHS dated 18th January 2022 CGHS card is valid for referral to emapanelled HCOs of pensioner beneficiaries through Referral Module, irrespective of City/WC where the card is registered DoH&FW has clarified that CGHS card is valid at any Wellness Centre in India for availing CGHS facilities irrespective of the WC/City, where it is registered.
