AIBSNLREA EAST GODAVARI (AP STATE) HOLDS ITS GENERAL BODY MEETING:
The General body Meeting of AIBSNLREA East Godavari branch was held on 23-01-2024 under the presidentship of Shri GV RAMAKRISHNA, President with prayer. 2 minutes silence was observed to pay respect to the departed members during the last one year. In the opening remarks President elaborated the problems faced by Members and the way they were resolved. Shri M.Venkateswara Rao CHQ vice President informed the house about the monthly Virtual meetings of CHQ office bearers. Shri Bheemasankaram LC member CGHS explained about functioning of the CGHS wellness Centre Rajahmundry. Shri GSVSS Vara Prasad, Secretary invited the Guests Smt K Pratyusha Kumari, Sr. Civil Judge and Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Shri P Raju GMTD, Rajahmundry, Shri Manojkumar, Director, DOT, Vijayawada, Shri Satyanarayana DGM, Rajahmundry and Dr. Glory, CGHS wellness Centre Rajahmundry to the dias and introduced them to the house. Shri P Raju DMTD spoke about Yoga and laughing exercises besides BSNL development and MRS payments and increase of more empanelled hospitals. Shri Manojkumar, Director, DOT Vijayawada recollected his memories and expressed his happiness over his association with present pensioners. Smt K Pratyusha Kumari, Sr Civil Judge and Secretary District Legal Services Authority EG DT gave heart touching speech quoting various court cases such as "Senior citizens are denied spending a few hours with their own children at their fag end of life. Hon'ble Judge also explained how the parents are being admitted in oldage home. Hon'ble Judge also advised the pensioners to be careful while writing WILL, difference between sale deed, gift deed and power of attorney. Hon'ble Judge expressed her happiness and gratitude to be a part in the house. Secretary Shri GSVSS Varaprasad, who is also a para Legal Volunteer, requested the house to take the message to the needy people and explained how the DLSA helps in resolving the problems. Legal Services Authority is protected under article 39A of Indian Constitution. Later Shri Satyanarayana DGM gave a brief speech. Members who crossed 80 years and 75 years were felicitated by the dignitaries. Aftr complimentary Lunch break the meeting resumed at 1430 Hrs. Some leaders from other sister pensioner association were also called to have good cordial interation with CGHS wellness Centre Rajahmundry incharge Dr Glory. Local Advisory committee members Shri Ravi Babu from Vizag LC and key member in CBWAI, Shri Swamy from Vizag LC and key member in CBWAI and Shri Bheemasankaram our member and LC, Rajahmundry occupied the dias along with incharge Madam Dr Glory CGHS wellness Centre Rajahmundry. The interation session was completed by 1545 hrs. Then, the individual grievances of our members were discussed. Secretary informed the house that total 30 SAMPANN issues were settled with Pr CCA MTNL, Delhi, Pr CCA MTNL MUM, Pr CCA West Bengal, Pr CCA Karnataka, Pr CCA Telangana, CCA AP. There are a few pending issues. The worst experience is with CCA Tamilnadu. No one answers phone including in the toll free number. He informed that 14 new Members were added during last year. EAST GODAVARI BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD ITS GB MEETING:
AIBSNLREA East Godavari Branch held its GB Meeting at Hotel Surya, Rajahmundry on 25.06.2022 under the presidentship of Sri GV Rama Krishna, President of the Branch. He welcomed all the 140 members attending the meeting. Present membership strength of the Branch has risen to 320. During the period, ninety-seven new members were added. 22 members unfortunately passed away during the period 06.02.2020 to 25.06.2022 including our CHQ member Shri CH Gandhi. After prayer, the General body paid homage to all the by observing two minutes silence. Shri A Sreenivasa Rao, ITS GMTD in-charge and Sri D Atcha Rao, DGM (Fin) attended the meeting. 20 members who crossed 75 years of age and one 80-year-old were felicitated with presentation of bouquet, garland and Shawl. After Lunch Shri KBS Naidu, Financial Secretary submitted audited accounts which was adopted by the GB. Shri Vara Prasad GSVSS, DS presented his report for the period 06.02.2020 to 25.06.2022. In his Report, the DS thanked CHQ for their support in resolving some critical issues. All members including the VRS-retirees enthusiastically participated in the discussions and shared their views. S/Shri D Sree Rama Murthy, Satya Srinivas N, M Venkateswara Rao, A Rajagopala Rao, Ch Venkata Rao, S Satyanarayana, Beemasankaram Ch, EL Narayana, B Ananda Rao and many more were the participants in the discussions. AIBSNLREA, EAST GODAVARI BRANCH MEETS GMTD, RAJAHMUNDRY:
Shri GSVSS Vara Prasad, Branch Secretary, AIBSNLREA along with S/Shri Duvvuri Subba Rao, U.Maheswara Rao and VVR Satyanarayana met General Manager, Telecom District, Rajahmundry on 14.02.2020 and held discussions on a few important pressing issues for which a letter was also separately submitted. On the side of Administration, S/Shri Abdus Salam, DGM and Atcha Rao, DFA also participated in the discussions. The issue regarding the pension related matters of VRS optees, along with other issues, remained on the top of the agenda:- Item No. 1: Completion of SAMPANN and SRs of the VRS and other retirees: It was informed that on the request of Administration, a few retired executives have volunteered to assist CCA, Vijayawada for quick disposal of SAMPANN and SRs. CCA, Vijayawada has also assured to settle the pension cases by the end of March, 2020. DFA, Rajahmundry then assured that all-out efforts will be made to send all the cases including SRs to CCA Office by 20.02.2020. To speed up the process and assist the local administration, on the request of DFA Rajahmundry, Shri VVR Satyanarayana, Retd AO joined the team after the meeting. The GMTD also informed that he is reviewing the progress twice a day and asked the representatives of the Association to meet him again in the 4th week of the month to review the left-out cases. Item 2: Sanction of Mobile Plan 1999 to the VRS retirees: The Association requested that Mobile plan 1999 may be sanctioned to the 2019-VRS retired pensioners and the expenditure be met from the Staff Contributory Welfare Fund as done by many other SSAs. The GMTD replied that he will consider the proposal and a suitable decision will also be taken at the earliest. Item No.3 Deduction of TDS without making actual payment of medical claims: The Association pointed out that claims for reimbursement of outdoor treatment has not been paid since March, 2019. But the 26AS page uploaded in the CPC-TDS site mentions of deduction of TDS against payment of medical claims which are not even paid. The Association also requested to settle all pending bills immediately. The DFA informed that the module is such that the TDS will be shown as deducted once the bills are cleared for payment and uploaded. EAST GODAVARI BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD ITS GB MEETING:
A General Body meeting of East Godavari District Branch of AIBSNLREA was held on 06.02.202 at Hotel Surya, Rajahmundry under the president ship of Shri GV Rama Krishna. The meeting started at 10.00 hours. Branch Secretary Shri G.S.V.S.S.Vara Prasad invited the president and Shri Ch Gandhi, Organizing Secretary (S), CHQ on the dais. After prayer, Branch Secretary briefed the House about the resolutions adopted in the 2nd AIC held at Madurai and also the latest developments on BSNL VRS. He welcomed the new members who have taken VRS recently and joined in the association. 38 members submitted their admission forms for life membership out of which 15 members paid the Life membership fee. Around 50 more VRS retirees, who are mostly out of station, are expected to join in the association shortly. The House unanimously resolved to pursue release of past two months’ salary to the VRS retirees and early settlement of their pension related issues. The members also enthusiastically participated in all the discussions. Branch Secretary gave brief about present status of BSNL MRS and detailed discussions were held on CGHS. Members suggested to wait for some more time to move to CGHS as there is no empaneled hospital in the District. Shri Vital Durga Prasad, GMTD and Shri Abdus Salam, DGM Rajahmundry attended the function. GMTD explained the present status of BSNL in detail and requested the members to cooperate in the overall development of BSNL. Branch Secretary brought to the notice of GMTD about deduction of Income Tax from the Medical bills which were not at all paid to the pensioners. GMTD assured the members that any issue related to pensioners at SSA level will be addressed. S/Sri Ananda Rao B, Raja Gopala Rao A, Srirama Murthy D, Sampat Kumar, Mallikharjuna Rao, Nagabhushanam, Maheswara Rao U, Venkateswara Rao M, Deekshitulu, Prasad BN, Naidu KBS participated in various discussions. AIBSNLREA, EAST GODAVARI DISTRICT BRANCH HELD BI-ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING:
AIBSNLREA, East Godavari District Branch (AP) held its bi-annual GB Meeting at Hotel RL Grand, Kakinada on 25-08-2019. Meeting started with prayer at 10.00 hrs. 80 members attended the meeting and 6 new life members Joined the Branch taking the total membership strength to 234. The meeting was presided over by Shri GV Rama Krishna, President. Shri CH Gandhi, Org Secretary (South) was on the dais. After prayer, the house observed 2 minutes silence to pay homage to the departed members souls of Late Shri DSR Krishnayya, SDE (Retd), and Late Shri P Verriah SDE (Retd).S/Shri GV Rama Krishna and Ch Gandhi briefly explained the activities of the District Branch. District Secretary GSVSS Varaprasad also explained the position of reimbursement of medical bills for outdoor and indoor treatment. He also informed about various options for pension revision. He further explained the present financial condition of BSNL having adverse impact on pensioners medical bills. DS also explained the non-functioning of CGHS wellness centers (CGHS facilities are partially available at Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada) in AP and Telangana (except Hyderabad) states. No empanelled hospitals for CGHS wellness centers in the entire AP and Telangana states except those mentioned earlier. DS then explained about the “Non-issue of modalities to extend consequential benefits to the SDEs who qualified TES Gr B after revision of seniority list after Supreme Court judgement on 14.12.2017 in the WP No 4389 of 2010.” Ds informed the house that CHQ has addressed a letter Secretary DoT on 16.08.2019 on this issue, Shri CH Gandhi OS (South) cleared the doubts raised by the members. S/Shri A Rajagopala Rao, B Ananda rao, KV Raghavarao, M Venkateswara Rao, Ch Rama Krishna, G Sundara Rao, KBS Naidu and UV Rao actively participated in the discussions. DS then informed the house about the proposed AIC at Madurai to be held on 12th and 13th of November, 2019. House was informed that the accommodation is going to be provided on 11th November also. Members actively participated in the discussions. 7 members already expressed their willingness to attend AIC. The house then felicitated Shri MVV Satyanarayana, R Satyanarayana, and PVV Satyanarayana with Bouquet, garland, and Shawl who crossed 75 years of age during the first half of the year 2019. Many members recollected and shared their memories with them. Shri VSR Murty, DGM, Kakinada TD, who was present as a Guest, also recollected his memories with the members. BI-ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF AIBSNLREA, EAST GODAVARI BRANCH HELD:
East Godavari Branch (AP State) of AIBSNLREA held its bi-annual Conference on 17-03-2019 at Hotel Surya in Rajahmundry. The meeting started with prayer at 09.30 hours under the chairmanship of Branch President Shri G V Rsma Krishna which was attended by seventy members. Shri CH Gandhi, Organizing Secretary (South), CHQ was also on to the dais. After prayer, the house observed two minutes silence to pay homage to the departed CRPF personnel who were martyred in the terrorist attack at Pulwama and also to Late Shri N Krishna Murty, AGM (Retd), AP Circle. S/Shri GV Rama Krishna and Ch Gandhi briefly addressed the House. District Secretary Shri GSVSS Vara Prasad narrated the social responsibilities taken up by the association with full support of the members of the Branch. He informed the house that the District association contributed Rs 1,25,000/- to CHQ towards Legal expenses and donation. He expressed his sincere thanks to the members for the trust they reposed on the District Executive Body during the period 06.12.2016 to 17.03.2018. He also informed the house that the Branch had also donated Rs 80,000/-to the CM Flood Relief Fund for rehabilitation of the victims in Kerala flood. He also presented the status pending medical claims for both the outdoor treatment and indoor treatment. He further informed about the position of pension revision, available options and the stand taken by carious associations and the DoT. He then discussed about the CPMS introduced by DoT and the concerns expressed by the Association on few of its aspects. Shri CH Gandhi explained the CHQ’s stand on all these issues. S/Shri KS Prakasa Rao, B Ananda Rao, KP Sreenivasa Rao, B Suryanarayana, A Chakram, G Sundara Rao, M Venkateswara Rao participated in the discussions. District Secretary also informed the house that some important but typical issues regarding 78.2% pay fixations of nearly 8 members were got settled. Some cases of them were in STR, Karnataka and Maharashtra Circle CCAs which responded positively after examing the rules and instructed the concerned SSAs to settle as represented by us. Many a times, the Maharashtra SSA denied to settle the case of Shri J Satyanarayana , EE who retired at Sholapur. “ Difference between value of pension as per pre revised pension and commutation value due to 50% merger of IDA. TYPE IV of DOT OM F.No-40-16/2012-pen(T) Dated 10.06.2013.” Now this gave benefit to all similarly placed pensioners in Maharashtra Circle. This order was earlier got implemented in E G SSA in 2014 which benefited 45 Executives and 70 non executives.The District Secretary proposed to add third Joint member “Secretary” in the AIBSNLREA S/B account and also proposed to operate the account by any two out of the three joint operators of the account – President, Secretary and Treasurer. The house accepted the proposal unanimously and authorized the Branch to take necessary steps with Karur Vysya Bank Ltd.
President then dissolved the existing body and adjourned the house for election. The house proposed Shri Chalapati Rao KV Retd DGM(Fin) to conduct the election in the presence of Shri Ch Gandhi, OS (South) CHQ member. Election of new office bearers was unanimous. The new body then took charge.
Thereafter, Shri Vithal Durga Prasad, GMTD, East Godavari was welcomed by the Distt Secretary and the members were also got introduced. GMTD informed the status of BSNL and its options for revival. GMTD also shared his feelings with the veterans. GMTD and the members honored Shri Danakarnudu G, Retd DE who crossed 80 years of age by presenting bouquet, garland and shawl. GMTD and the members also honored Shri Suryanarayana KSVV Retd Sr. SDE, who crossed 75 years of age, with bouquet, garland and shawl.
District Secretary then invited Dr Vaddadi Suresh, M.D, a General Physician and Professor in DSL Medical college and introduced him to the members. He was requested to address the members on the problems faced by the Sr citizens, precautions and the remedial measures to be observed. Dr Suresh gave a wonderful power point presentation regarding diabetic, hyper tension, brain related problems, fits, paralysis and other common problems. Doctor gave first aid treatment and the importance of the golden hour. The presentation was appreciated by all members. The Doctor and the GM TD were also honored with presentation bouquets, garlands and shawl. Thereafter, the meeting was declared concluded and Lunch was served. View list of office bearers

EAST GODAVARI BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD GB MEETING:
East Godavari Branch of AIBSNLREA held a GB Meeting on 29.09.2018 at Hotel RL GRAND, Kakinada under the president ship of Shri GV Rama Krishna. The meeting started at 10.00hrs after prayer. GSVSS Vara Prasad, Secretary welcomed Shri CH Gandhi, OS (South), CHQ and other members. 73 members attended the meeting and 8 new members joined the Association.GB paid homage to the departed life members viz S/Shri N Krishna Murty, Ex-DE, KS Prakasha Rao Ex-JTO, Kesavacharyulu, Ex-SDE who passed away recently. The house also paid homage to the departed leaders Bharata Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister, and Karunanidhi, former DMK veteran leader. The house expressed its deep sorrow and grief for the irreparable loss to the Kerala flood victims. The House observed two minutes silence in their memory.
President Shri GV Rama Krishna briefed the members about the activities of the Association in the recent months in his opening remarks. Shri CH Gandhi explained the status of our writ petition. Members S/Shri A Raja Gopala Rao, KP Sreenivasa Rao, Sundara Rao G and JR Sarma raised about BSNL MRS and pension revision problems.
DS explained the status of BSNL MRS as on 29.09.2018. 2nd and 3rd quarter payments for outdoor treatment with and w/o bills for pensioners have been paid in East Godavari SSA for the period 2017-2018. For 2018-2019, bills of some members, who submitted their claims with vouchers, have also received payment. Due to non-allotment of funds, bills are pending. The house also expressed its deep concern about this. CHQ was requested find out the ways and means to resolve the issue. DS explained about the status of pension revision. DS also explained about the letters addressed by CHQ to the Secretary DoT in this matter. The house resolved unanimously to verify the ways and means with other organizations to find a solution about delinking of pension revision of BSNL its viability. DS also informed about the settlement of four pension revision cases with 78.2% IDA fitment benefit in the recent Pension Adalat at Vijayawada.
On the call of CHQ, Branch has collected Rs 92,000/- as donation for flood relief. DS informed that S/Shri Uma Maheswar Rao S and Rama SAMY Reddy have donated @ Rs 10,000/- each. Similarly, S/Shri G Satyanarayana and A V Chalapati have contributed Rs 5000/- each. S/Sri J Satyanarayana and R Krishna Rao have sent @ Rs 5000/- each directly to the flood relief fund.
The House also felicitated S/Shri S Satyanarayana and VSR Ramanadha Rao on their completion of 75 years of age with garland, shawl and bouquet. HALF-YEARLY GENERAL BODY MEETING OF EAST GODAVARI BRANCH HELD:
The Half yearly General Body meeting of AIBSNLREA, East Godavari (AP) branch is held on 07.02.2018 in the Conference Hall, Sanchar Bhavan, Rajamahendravaram under the president ship of Shri GV Ramakrishna, President on the chair. Secretary invited the president Sri GV Ramakrishna and Sri Ch Gandhi OS (South) on to the dais. The conference started at 0930 hrs with prayer. 99 members attended the meeting. After the president’s opening remarks on the issues of interest, the members introduced themselves to the house. Members discussed mainly about court case on 78.2% IDA balance arrears, denial of the pension benefits of 50% of the emoluments or average emoluments received during last 10 months to the pre 2006 pensioners, 3rd PRC with 15% fitment to pensioners and many other local issues. Four pensioners namely S/Shri Y. Krishna Murty, KV Chalapati Rao, C.Markadeyulu and P. Ramakrishn, who crossed 75 years or going to cross in next six months, were felicitated with presentation of garland Shawl.Shri GSVSS Vara Prasad DS explained in detail about the court case on 78.2% and explained why Vakalatnama were not taken from all the members and the strategy behind the decision to collected limited number of Vakalatnama from all over India. He explained that we knocked the door of SC under article 32 of constitution. DS also explained the word "Leave and liberty" and about article 226 to move the case to high court. DS also explained about the representations of CHQ submitted to the Hon’ble PM on denial of the pension benefits of 50% of the emoluments or average emoluments received during last 10 months to the pre 2006 pensioners and also the letter addressed on 3rd PRC with 15% fitment formula. Secretary also explained about the letter to PM on the 3rd PRC by the joint forum of working unions and their 5 day Dharna. He also informed the house that he himself had participated in the Dharna for 2 days as a solidarity to the joint forum by the pensioners. He further informed that there is no case pending on 78.2 IDA fitment and payment of arrears from 10.06.2013. Medical bills with vouchers are settled up to December 2017.Two quarters payment is released for the members without vouchers. The balance of two quarters will be released after receiving the necessary approval from Corporate office. DS clarified the doubts raised by the members on the TDS recovery on medical bills with vouchers. He also informed the house that Vasan Eye Care his holding a Free Medical Camp, which is being organized and sponsored by our association, in the Sanchar Bhavan. He requested the members to avail this opportunity. The Branch Secretary stated that the total membership of the Branch ‘as on today’ i.e. 07.0-2.2018 is 217. In the last six months, 24 new members have joined the branch.
At 1230 hrs, Hon’ble Shri VBS Srneevasa Rao garu, Senior Civil Judge and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, E G District, who graced the occasion as Guest of Honour, was welcomed by the District Secretary and President with bouquet and introduced to the members. As a part of legal literacy camp by DLSA, the Hon’ble Judge and Guest of Honour of the function addressed the gathering on the topic “Senior Citizens – Their rights and responsibilities”. Shri N Vithal Durga Prasad, GMTD E G District, who joined recently, was also introduced to the members. The GMTD addressed the gathering and expressed his pleasure to be a part of such big gathering of Executive. GMTD also called the pensioners as brand ambassadors of BSNL. He also talked about the challenges being faced by BSNL in the market and gave examples of restoration of night free calling etc as customer friendly tariffs for both landline and mobile sectors. GMTD wished all the members a happy, healthy and spiritual life.
Sri KSS Bhavachari presented a spiritual book “ The Heartfulness Way” to both Ho’nble Shri VBS Sreenivasa Rao, Sr Civil Judge and Secretary DLSA, E G District and Shri N Vithal Durga Prasad, GMTD, EG District. S/Shri U Suryanarayan, ASN Murty, M Venkateswara Rao, V Chandra Sekhar dedicated themselves and shared the responsibility to make the function a Grand Success. District Secretary thanked President Shri GV Ramakrishna garu, Shri Ch Gandhi garu OS (South), Shri KBS Naidu, Finance Secretary for taking lots pains in organizing the meeting in a grand manner. The meeting ended with Vote of Thanks presented by District Secretary and followed by National Anthem. The Guests and members were then invited for lunch at Hotel Surya.

GB MEETING OF EAST GODAVARI BRANCH OF AIBSNLREA HELD:
A General Body meeting of AIBSNLREA, East Godavari Branch was held on 29.06.2017 at Hotel RL GRAND, Kakinada under the chairmanship of Shri GV Ramakrishna, District President. Shri GSVSS Vara Prasad, DS invited Shri CH Gandhi OS (South) on to the dais. The meeting started at 10 AM with prayer by Shri KS Prakasa Rao. The General body expressed its deep condolence to the deceased members viz. S/Shri Seetapati R, Satyanarayana Kanda and Satyanarayana K. Six new members also joined the Association raising the membership of the branch to 193. After the opening remarks by the President, the Secretary explained the progress of revision of IDA pension with 78.2% IDA fitment, pension revision cases with 3% pay fixation benefit of the executives who retired between 10-06-2013 to 31-03-2016, enhanced DCRG cases with 20 lakhs limit w.e.f. 01-01-2016. It was reported that almost 80% cases stand settled by Pr. CCA Hyderabad and the attached office of the CCA at Vijayawada. District Secretary expressed his satisfaction about the functioning of the Pr. CCA attached office, Vijayawada. He also thanked Shri CH Gandhi, OS (south) who met Pr. CCA office many a times. The District Secretary and Shri Gandhi met CCA attached office on 22.06.2017 to have a fresh stock of the situation. There are many complaints against SBI and post offices where the pension arrears are not deposited even after 3 months of issuance of PPOs. Some members received arrears but no PPO have been received particularly from Pr. CCA Hyderabad office. Detailed discussion was held on the 3rd PRC Report for CPSE Executives. There was discussions about implementation of free night calling facility to pensioners, concessional telephone facility with 500 free calls to the retired executives of E3 and above. Shri CH Gandhi OS (South) informed the house that free night calling facility has not been extended in AP. S/Shri KBS Naidu, KP Sreenivasa Rao, A Rajagopala Rao, U Mallikharjuna Rao, M Venkateswara Rao, B Ananda Rao, S Satyanarayana, S Venkateswara Rao, I B Suryanarayana and U Suryanarayana actively participated in the discussions. The House also passed some resolutions. The General body also felicitated the following members who completed/completing 75 years of age this year:- Shri AV Chalapati, Shri K Kootaiah, Shri DSR Krishnaiah and Shri P Venkataratnam. The Executive body meeting of AIBSNLREA East Godavari District Branch was held on 24.10.2016 under the president ship of Sri GV Rama Krishna, District President. Shri GSVSS Vara Prasad, District Secretary welcomed the members and informed the executive body about the sad demise Shri Ch Satyanarayana. The house then paid homage to the departed soul. The District Secretary placed the following details in respect of pension revision case. Out of total 391 pension revision cases for pre-2007 pensioners, 190 cases have already been sent to Pr CCA, Hyderabad and another 144 cases have since been processed and about to be sent. Rest 54 cases are having some discrepancies. In respect of post-2007 cases, out of total 597 revision cases, 345 cases are ready to be sent and balance 252 cases are under process. The DS further reported that the membership of the branch is now 179 and 57 new members joined from various SSAs during the last two years. President Shri GV Rama Krishna and S/Shri RSN Murty, Bhavachari, S Satyanarayana, A Kodanada rao appealed the members to mobilise the friends in other SSAs to either open new branch or join this branch. Shri Ch Gandhi OS (South) explained the progress of 78.2% IDA in various SSAs and further informed that the work at Pr CCA office also already started. The finance secretary then presented the financial status. It was resolved to deposit another Rs 40,000/- in the bank. Already Rs 40,000/- was in the bank. The executive discussed about implementation 7th CPC recommendations to the BSNL retirees after 1st January 2016. It is observed that the CCA offices are raising the objections saying that the said orders are not endorsed by BSNL. This issue is already taken up by General secretary as this is having impact on Executives only However It is requested to the members to put an individual representation to the administration to extend the benefits to them. QUARTERLY GENERAL BODY MEETING OF AIBSNLREA, EAST GODAVARI BRANCH HELD:
Quarterly General Body Meeting of AIBSNLREA, East Godavari Branch (AP State) was held on 11-07-2016 at Hotel RL Grand Kakinada under the president ship of Shri GV Rama Krishna. The DS welcomed Shri Ch Gandhi, CHQ Organizing Secretary(South) on to the dais. Shri GV Rama Krishna enlightened about the AIC held at Bhubaneswar to the members. The DS gave detailed report on the AIC and explained how the deliberations went on and the resolutions made. The house discussed the 78.2% DA merger issue and on the notional fixation of pay till the date of retirement and arrears there off for pre and post 2007 pensioners/family pensioners. The house expressed its happiness on the annulment of sharing of pension liability on 60:40 ratio issue once for all by the cabinet. Shri Ch Gandhi, CHQ Org Secretary ( South) touched upon all the issues raised by the members. Shri P Trimurtulu stressed the need to expand the organization levels in all SSAs. S/Shri B Ananda Rao, T Baburao , Kodanda Rao Vice president, Raghava Rao, KN Sastry, C Rama Krishna, P Ramakrishna, Bhava Chari, S Satya Narayana, CB Sarma, Raja Gopala Rao and almost all members participated in the deliberations. Shri KBS Naidu, Finance Secretary informed the house about the donation of Rs 15,000/- given to CHQ during the AIC. DS GSVSS Vara Prasad introduced the 8 new members to the house. 70 members attended the General body meeting. Now the total life membership of the Branch has reached 168. The house decided to conduct bi-annual General Body meeting in the month of November 2016 at Rajamahendravarm. The Quarterly General body meeting of AIBSNLREA, East Godavari District Branch was held on 21-02-2016 at Conference Hall, Sanchar Bhawan, Rajamahendravaram under the president ship of Shri GV Rama Krishna. The meeting started with prayer at 10.00 hrs. The house paid homage to the departed leaders. Shri GSVSS Vara Prasad, District Secretary welcomed the members. The President touched upon all the issues in his opening remarks. DS has explained various issues and their position including pay anomaly in fixation of pension of DoT employees absorbed in BSNL during 1-10-2000 to 31-07-2001, in ordinate delay in revision of pension to allow the fitment benefit by merger of 78.2% DA to the pre and post 2007 retired employees. DS also mentioned about the empanelment of three additional new hospitals which was perused with the management i.e. DM&HO, AP Circle Office by our association constantly. S/Shri CH Gandhi, A Kodanda Rao, Chalapati Rao KV, Nagabhushanam M, Ananda Rao B, Sundara Rao G, Babu Rao T, Sarveswara Rao K, KBS Naidu, KP Srinivasa Rao enlightened on the 78.2% DA issue and expressed disappointment on its slow progress. Shri RSN Murty and DS answered the questions raised by the members. Many members actively participated in the discussions and suggested to go for legal battle due to undue delay in settling 78.2% DA merger issue in consultation with CHQ . Thereafter DS welcomed Shri A SRINIVASA RAO, GMTD who joined the meeting at 11.45 hrs. The President honored GMTD by presenting a bouquet. He also welcomed Shri Sounder Rajan, DGM (F&A) and Shri Subbara Rao D, DGM. The District Secretary expressed his gratitude in resolving the medical bill issues including empanelment of new hospitals. GMTD, in response, assured to include some more hospitals in near future.The DS then welcomed and introduced Smt Rajani, Hon’ble Senior Civil Judge & Secretary, District legal Services Authority, East Godavari District as the Chief guest to the house. She was presented with bouquet by Smt Lakshmi G and Smt Seeta Ch, both members of the Association. The Hon’ble judge explained judicature of District Legal Services Authority and its rendering justice to poor and needy people apart from regular courts. The Hon’ble judge also explained how the senior Citizens can help the Judiciary by helping the needy people as para legal volunteers. The house expressed their happiness to share their feelings with the Hon’ble judge .The DS, on behalf of the house wished Smt Rajani a grand success in her future assignment also on her promotion as District Judge .
The District secretary thanked specially to Shri A Srinivasa Rao, GMTD, Smt Rajani, Hon’ble Civil Judge. The DS also thanked S/Shri ASN Murty, ASV Rama Rao, Krishnaiah, S Satyanarayana for their immense support in hosting the Quarterly General body meeting in a grand manner. The DS then thanked all the members for their valuable suggestions in the organizational matters. The meeting was attended by 70 members. Five (5) new Life Members joined the Association taking the total strength of the Branch to 155. The meeting ended with National Anthem. This was followed by Lunch. View the photos
